MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
MAY 13, 2003

Meeting held at Bannerman Place, 1508 Bannerman Road, 6:30 p.m.

Board members present:
Robert Hicks, Steve Spook, Steve Stolting, & Sharon Elsberry

Meeting called to order at 6:35 p.m. by President, Robert Hicks

Minutes from the April 8, 2003 board meeting approved as submitted.

Financial Reports submitted for March & April 2003.
Motion to accept the financial reports: Sharon

Legal Counsel Proposals:
Request for proposals were sent to eleven different attorneys. The two that submitted a bid were Robert E. Maloney, Jr. and Bruce Wiener.

Motion from Steve Stolting: To request additional background information from Bruce Wiener and proceed with interviews of both attorneys by the board.
Second: Steve Spook
Vote: All in favor
Marie will schedule the interviews as soon as possible.

ACC Report: Bryan Seaquist
Bryan reported a few items that are in need of notification for violation of the covenants.
Bryan & Dan Moniz inspected Mr. Barlow’s property for final approval of his project.
Final approval will be granted upon additional installation of plantings on the left side of the gate. The plantings will be installed after the City sewer lines are installed in mid July.

Mailbox Issue:
Legal opinion letter from David Theriaque in 1998, reviewed and discussed regarding the association’s ability to allow for more than one material and color for mailboxes. His letter states that an amendment to the Declarations is not required to change the mailboxes.

The board voted to proceed with a mailbox maintenance campaign, noticing homeowners in violation of mailbox maintenance and upkeep.
